So many Cinnamon Buns! ||blogmas 2017

Ive always been such a lover for Cinnamon Buns, or Rolls, whatever you like to call them. But i never really liked to do them myself. Usually my Mom buys the freezed ones from ikea and theyre great! But I found a Cinnamon Buns Recipe in my Recipes Folder and i thought, well if I wrote it down it cant be that difficult to make and it should be amazing. And it is!! Its a huuuuge recipe though, makes about 25 buns but tbh, theyre so good they´ll be gone quicker than you think!

~Lets do this!~

You will need:

-For the Buns-                                                               -For the Filling-

500 ml milk                                                                   150g caster sugar
50g yeast                                                                     50-100g butter or margarine, melted
1 egg                                                                              2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp salt
40g caster sugar
250g butter or margarine, melted
900g plain flour

 -For the Topping-

icing sugar and water to create icing

Lets bake it:

Step 1: Preheat your Oven to 200oC.

Step 2: Heat up your milk until its likewarm and dissolve the yeast in it. Then add the egg, sugar, salt flour and the melted butter.

Step 3: work the Dough until its well combined, then let it rest on a warm place for about one hour. (It should double his size)

Step 4: work again carefully the rested dough. Dont forget to put flour on your worktop, then roll out the dough until its about 1cm thick and rectangular.

Step 5: Spread the melted butter for the filling on the dough plate, then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar evenly over it,

Step 6: Roll the plate to a roll, which you cut into little buns, then bake for 10-15 minutes.

Step 7: Let them cool until theyre cold. Mix the icing sugar with water (but be careful! Only a bit of water at a time, you dont want it to be too runny!) to create the icing, which you drizzle over the buns to make them even prettier.

Hope you enjoy them and let me know if you try out the Recipe yourself!

Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas everybody!

Tip:
If you would like to freeze them, leave them for five minutes less in the Oven, so when you want to eat them you can put the frozen buns in the Oven for about five minutes without them burning.
